Is the internet a Panopticon?
The internet is a Panopticon, in some respects. When you click on a link and end up on a site, you don’t know what sort of information that site has collected about you, or how your activities are being recorded or watched, or where your information will ultimately end up.
However, on the other hand, the Panopticon was a prison. While some people may argue the internet can almost be impossible to escape from, we all have the ability to turn it off and leave.
